RM@Schools Summer Camp 2021
RM@Schools Summer Camp is an event carried out as part of the Raw Materials at Schools ESEE (East and Southeast Europe / Eastern and Southeast Europe) project, belonging to the Wider Society Learning (WSL) project. The aim is to popularize raw materials and professions related to the mining industry among students, especially in the ESEE region.
The core process of the RM @ Schools project is to bring research and industry to meet schools, which in turn need to meet society in a shared learning environment. Through this process, the main aim of the project – to provide young people with the opportunity to increase their personal and collective endowment with scientific and technological skills that they need in everyday life but also their future professional careers – will be accomplished.

THE MAIN TOPIC OF THE EVENT
The theme of the event is Circular Economy.
Circular Economy is sensible and efficient management of raw materials and waste. The basis of this concept is the assumption that products, materials, and raw materials should remain in the economy as long as possible, and the production of waste should be minimized. This idea includes all stages of the product life cycle, starting from its design, going through production, consumption, and ending with the object finally becoming waste.
The transition to a circular economy model can bring many benefits. First of all, it will allow reducing waste’s negative impact on the environment, contribute to not wasting resources, and to more efficient use of limited resources. Its implementation will also increase competitiveness, stimulate innovation, economic growth, and employment.
